Cheshire captured its second consecutive SCC Girls Cross Country Title on October 18 at East Shore Park. The Rams, under the direction of head coach Rob Schaefer, placed seven of the meet’s top 24 finishers, led by senior Alexa Ciccone, who finished second (18:58). Cheshire has won six titles since 1994.
Mercy was the runner-up (71) followed by Guilford (77) and Guilford (77).
Wilbur Cross senior Anna Omelchenko won the individual title, finishing the 3.1 mile course in 18:52. Ciccone was second, followed by Sacred Heart Academy’s Juliette Forstrom. Wilbur Cross’ Grayson Neuman was fourth (19:51) and Shelton’s Hannah Andrejczyk was fifth (19:57).
