Bill O’Brien Community Service Scholarship Winners: Congratulations to Lily Sendroff (Hamden) and Manasseh Bekele (Hillhouse), who each received $500 scholarship in honor of Bill O’Brien, the former SCC commissioner and community leader. Manassah’s personal leadership growth became evident when he was a key member of an organization called Co – Creating Effective and Inclusive Organizations. Lily’s leadership with a group called FRESH WATER FOCUS let to a development effort that raised more than $6,000 to purchase water filters for two villages in India.
