Several SCC schools will participate in an Unified Soccer event at Amity Regional High School on Wednesday, Oct. 17.
Host Amity Regional, Cheshire, Foran, Jonathan Law, Hamden, North Haven and West Haven will compete starting at 3:15 p.m. Following the conclusion of the competition, participants will get together and enjoy some snacks and get their medals.
Unified Sports® is a registered program of Special Olympics that combines athletes with and without intellectual disability (or other developmental delays) on sports teams for training and competition. All Unified Sports® teammates are of similar age and teams are placed in competitive divisions based on their skill abilities, and range from developmental to recreation, to competitive.
