SCC’s April Athletes of Month, presented by j.roo’s of North Haven
Mady Bull, Softball, Jonathan Law
Just a sophomore, Mady Bull led the Lawmen to a 10-2 record during the month of April. She pitched 81 innings in the month, allowing just seven earned runs (0.62 ERA) and recording 147 strikeouts. She recorded a no-hitter versus Branford on April 28. At the plate, she hit .475 for the month with 19 runs scored and was a perfect 9-for-9 in stolen bases.
Brock Goodwin, Baseball, Amity Regional
A senior left-hander, Brock Goodwin recorded a 4-1 record with 1.38 ERA and 24 strikeouts during the month of April. Opponents hit .154 against him. He also threw two no-hitters during the month for the Spartans – on April 15 versus Ridgefield (a 6-0 win) and April 26 versus West Haven (a 4-0 win).
The Southern Connecticut Conference, with the support of presenting sponsor j.roo’s of North Haven, is naming a female and male athlete of the month during the academic year. Each recipient receives a plaque and $25 gift card to j.roo’s.
