The SCC is proud to introduce the “Chasing Banners” podcast.
While “chasing the banner” is the ultimate goal of any team, especially the prominent SCC “blue banner” that league champions receive, this podcast will be fresh way to tell the story of our 32-year-old conference and its great history.
This podcast will be more than just scores and schedules; it will be about the unique and fun topics that make up the 23-member school conference.
Whether it’s ranking the “Mount Rushmore” (best players) in a particular sport, or the identifying best place to eat after a game or analyzing the “best rivalries” in the league, this podcast will be produced monthly during the academic year.
SCC Commissioner Al Carbone will host the podcast and be joined by John Steady and Matt Conyers. Carbone has been the league commissioner for 22 years. Steady is the owner of Steady Photography and has served as the league’s official photographer for nearly two decades. Conyers, a former sports writer for the Hartford Courant, is the current cross country/track coach at Mercy High School.
