A Banner Year: SCC’s 31 “2024-25” State Champions
SCC teams won 31 state titles during the 2024-25 academic year. The 31 state titles set a league record (previous record was 26, set in 2023-24). In addition, 25 more teams earned state runner-up status during the 2024-25 campaign.
Fourteen different SCC member schools won a state title in 2024-25, led by Xavier’s six. Daniel Hand was next with four titles, while Hillhouse and Lyman Hall each had three.
The SCC’s 14 state titles during the 2024-25 winter season also set a league record. And the league’s 12 state championships during the 2025 spring season is tied for the second-most in SCC history (2011-12 winter).
Following the conclusion of the spring season, the SCC teams have won 590 state championships since the league was started in 1994-95.
Here are the SCC schools with the most state titles since 1994-95: 1. Hillhouse (83); 2. Daniel Hand (71); 3. Cheshire (70); 4. Xavier (56); 5. Guilford (43).
