SCC Boys Basketball Playoff Update – February 19

At least 14 teams have qualified for the 2026 SCC Boys Basketball Playoffs, presented by Vertical Hoops.

One additional team (Lyman Hall) can qualify with a win in its final regular-season game. Lyman Hall plays Sheehan on Friday, Feb. 20.

The 2026 playoffs begin Tuesday, Feb. 24 with the first round.

Currently, North Haven (15-0) has clinched the tournament’s top seed, followed by Notre Dame (14-0), West Haven (13-2), Xavier (11-4 – tiebreaker over Fairfield Prep), Fairfield Prep (11-4) and Shelton (10-4). Hillhouse (9-5) will be the seventh seed, followed by Career (7-8), Sheehan (7-8), Wilbur Cross (7-8) and Amity Regional (7-8). Branford (6-9) will be the 12^th seed and Daniel Hand (6-9) will be the 13^th seed. Foran (5-10) has clinched the 14th seed.

Quarterfinals will be played Thursday, Feb. 26 and the semifinals will be held on Saturday, Feb. 28 at Shelton High School (4:15 and 6 p.m.).

The championship game will be played at Quinnipiac University’s M&T Bank Arena on Monday, March 2 at 7:30 p.m.
