SCC/SWC Counting Game Schedule 2013-14

The Southern Connecticut Conference and the South-West Conference have merged their boys ice hockey leagues to create one league with three divisions, starting in 2013-14.

SCC/SWC to Partner in Boys Ice Hockey

The SCC and South-West Conference have announced a regular-season and postseason partnership for their boys ice hockey conferences, starting in the 2013-14 season.

Here's a photo gallery from the 2013 SCC Boys Ice Hockey Championship Games, held February 27 at Quinnipiac University's High Point Solutions Arena.  In the Division II title game, regular-season champion Daniel Hand outlasted Branford, 4-2, to win its second league title in three years.  In the Division I championship game, regular-season champion Fairfield Prep defeated Notre Dame, 6-2.  It was the first Division I title game since 1999.

Daniel Hand (Div. II) and Fairfield Prep (Div. I) Capture SCC Ice Hockey Championships

Regular-season champion Daniel Hand defeated Branford, 4-2, in the Division II championship game at the High Point Solutions Arena.  It was a rematch of the 2012 final game.  The Tigers won its second title in three years.   Hand's Ben Solin (2 goals, 2 assists) was name the game's Most Outstanding Player.

In the first Division I playoff game since the 1998-99 season, regular-season champion Fairfield Prep defeated Notre Dame, 6-2, to win its first title since 1997.  Prep's Dean Lockery (2 goals) was named the game's Most Outstanding Player.
