SCC Shines at New England Cross Country Championships

Congratulations to head coach Chris Stonier and the New England champion Xavier Falcons

The Southern Connecticut Conference was well-represented at the 2017 New England Cross Country Championships, held Nov. 11 in Belfast, Maine.

Xavier, the SCC and State Open champion, won the New England title with 74 points, while Fairfield Prep finished 7th.

Individually, Fairfield Prep senior Drew Thompson, who had won the SCC, Class LL and State Open titles already this fall, added a New England championship to his impressive ledger.  Thompson finished the 3.1 mile race in 15:16, winning the race by nearly 32 seconds.
