2019-20 SCC Scholar Leaders - Virtual Banquet Link

Bill O'Brien Community Service Scholarship Recipients
Congratulations to Miriam Khan (Hamden) and Ella Stanley (Guilford). Mariam founded the Global Youth Activists Club to “amplify youth voices, fight for marginalized communities, and use empathy to combat hate.  Under her leadership, GYAC organized a mayoral debate for students, held a coat drive for local refugees, and handled gracefully, some messy issues the school faced.  Ella founded the “Big Sleep Out,” a homelessness initiative that has raised more than $16,000 to support the Columbus House and help nearly 500 people.
Thanks to all those scholar leaders who submitted applications.
