Hand Girls Soccer Team Receives Accolades

Congratulations to head coach Bob Faulkner and the Daniel Hand girls soccer team for earning two awards at the recent Connecticut Girls’ Soccer Coaches Association All-State Banquet.

The Tigers earned the CGSCA Team Sportsmanship Award.  Hand has not received any Red or Yellow cards for each of the last three seasons - the only team in the state to achieve such a distinction.

In addition, the National Soccer Coaches Association of America recently honored the team – for the fourth consecutive year –with the NSCAA Team National Academic Award for exceptional academic excellence in the classroom for the 2010 season.
