SCC Field Hockey 2020 Season Preview

Southern Connecticut Conference 2020 Field Hockey Preview

2020: The 2020 season begins Thursday, October 1. Due to the late start, all SCC teams will play 10 regular-season games and hopefully, all thirteen teams will qualify for league playoff competition.

Division Alignment: The SCC’s 13 teams are divided into two divisions: A and B – based on geography.   Each team will play its division opponent at least once.  The first meeting is considered the “counting” games for standings purposes.

Division B: Amity Regional, Hamden, North Haven, Lauralton Hall, North Haven, Shelton

Defending Champs: Guilford is the two-time defending SCC champion.   Guilford defeated Amity Regional, 1-0, in last year’s final. Following its SCC title, Guilford went on to defeat SCC-rival Daniel Hand, 3-2, in the Class M state championship game.
