Three SCC football teams – Xavier (Class LL), Daniel Hand (Class L) and Hillhouse (Class M) – won their respective CIAC state championship games played at Rentschler Field in East Hartford on December 7-8. The three state titles ties the record for the league (2005 - the SCC won three when there was six divisions). In addition, it is the fourth straight year the SCC has won at least two state football titles. Congratulations!

Friday, Dec. 7 - Class LL: Xavier 48, Norwich Free Academy 14... Falcons (12-1) win third straight Class LL state title... Falcons (574 points) became the highest-scoring team in league history.
Saturday, Dec. 8 - Class M: Hillhouse 34, Berlin 12... Academics (11-2) win their second state title in three years.

Saturday, Dec. 8 - Class L: Daniel Hand 23, Windsor 6... Tigers (13-0) won their second straight state title... Hand is the fifth SCC team to finish 13-0.
The SCC has won at least two state titles in each of the last four seasons... The SCC won three state titles for second time (2005).
